A McCain slip up or truth???

Oops! Sen. John McCain slipped up a bit — but quickly caught himself.

While McCain was elaborating on the "stark differences" between his Democratic opponents' positions and his own, he slipped up.

"I'm a proud conservative liberal republic -- conservative Republican," he said.

After joining with the Richardson, Texas, crowd in hearty laughter, McCain went on to say what he initially meant.

"Hello, easy there," he said. "Let me say this. I am a proud conservative Republican and both of my possible or likely opponents are liberal Democrats."

Life In Prison for Bobby Cutts, Jr.

Well, today was the long awaited day for the Davis/Porter family as they awaited the verdict of the sentencing of their daughter's murderer, Bobby Cutts, Jr. It doesn't surprise me that they didn't give him death. I believe that if they would have, Jessie's mom, Patti Porter, may have asked that it be reduced. I just get that impression. She has been such a witness since the very beginning of this tragic and horrific event. I don't believe I could be as forgiving as her as she was today though. Who knows though. Maybe through time I could. But to be able to sit and look my daughter's killer, the father of my grandson and dead granddaughter (that he killed too), would be more than I could bear. But I applaude her for her courage and strength. I sat glued to the television during Jessie's search and again today as the sentencing verdict was read along with the comments from Jessie's family. I wept right along with them. All I can say is poor little Blake. How he must miss his mom.


After a jury spared the life of a former Canton police officer, a judge sentenced Bobby Cutts Jr. to life in prison with a chance of parole after 57 years.

Last week, Cutts was found guilty in connection with the death of his girlfriend Jessie Davis and aggravated murder in the death of her unborn fetus. He was also found guilty of aggravated burglary, abuse of a corpse and child endangering.

The jury recommended a sentence of life in prison without the possibility of parole for 30 years for the aggravated murder of the unborn fetus and of Davis.

After the family of Davis was given the opportunity to address Cutts, the judge imposed his sentence: 30 years for aggravated murder of the fetus, 15 years for the murder of Davis, 10 years for aggravated burglary, 2 years for abuse of a corpse and 180 days for child endangering.
The sentences will be run consecutively; Cutts will be in his 80s before he will be eligible for parole.

Stark County Common Pleas Judge Charles Brown Jr. rejected a defense request to merge the sentences against Bobby Cutts Jr. The judge could have allowed parole eligibility earlier.

In statements before the judge issued his sentence, Cutts' attorney Fernando Mack asked Brown to weigh that Cutts has accepted responsibility for his actions, had no prior history of violence and once saved the life of a fellow officer. "Those are all factors that this court should consider," said Mack, adding, "He still has a family."

Davis' sister, Whitney, faced Cutts and said he used and manipulated her sister. "I don't believe you're sorry for what you did," she said. "You're sorry you got caught up in your lies."

"You got rid of someone who was an inconvenience to you," she said. Cutts sat maintaining eye contact, nodding his head slightly. "It disgusts me that you're here and she's gone."

The victim's mother, Patti Porter, sobbed as she told the judge she was risking her family's disapproval but wanted Cutts to be sentenced in a way that would allow him to be free at some point to share life with his son, Blake, now 3.

"I hope and pray I can raise him to forgive you," she said. "He knows what you did. You would not believe the stories he's told us."

"I do forgive you," Porter told Cutts, drawing tears from members of his family.

I don't know what I'll do once this campaign is over!!! Go through major Huckabee withdrawal I assume. Nah, I'll be involved with the great Gov. Huckabee in some mighty way. God will make sure of that. Anyhoot, thought I'd pass this along. It's only fair that we have a debate in the Republican party. Texas polls are climbing up in our favor!!

Dear Senator McCain:
It's been my pleasure sharing the stage with you this past year, as we have worked to promote our ideas to lead this county. I have the deepest respect for you as a person, politician, and an American hero – and I appreciate the way you have run such an issue-based, positive campaign.

Now that the race for the Republican nomination is down to just the two of us, I believe this is the time for a real discussion about our vision for the future of this great country. I encourage you to join me in a Lincoln Douglas-style debate so that voters can better understand our views on critical issues such as health care, education, energy independence, terrorism and national security.

Our Democratic counterparts, Senators Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton, have had recent opportunities to underscore the differences in their positions. It seems only fitting to me that Republican primary voters are offered the same.

I look forward to working with your staff to schedule this as soon as possible. I would suggest we set the debate before the March Fourth Primaries. It is my hope that one of the TV networks would offer to sponsor such an event.

Well, it's been a while since I've shared any family pictures so I guess you are due some. Yesterday was such a long day since I didn't have any phone calls to make for an election this week! Now I'm going through Huckabee Ranger withdrawal. I'll make up for it next Friday though because we have Ohio and Texas to face on March 4th. Actually, Texas phone banks are already available so I'm sure I"ll make a few calls this w/e. I just don't have that adrenaline rush to get it done by a certain target time.

Where did Brandon learn to speak like that?

Well, Brandon did an EXCELLENT job today. I was floored by how well he got up in front of a group of strangers as if it were nothing. My professor had asked him some pretty direct and mature questions and he ran with the punches. He must taken speaking in front of a group after his grandpa Watkins!!! Can't wait to hear all the feedback on Thursday. I think everyone was speechless that a 5th grader could compose himself that way.

On to further news......yes, today is the Wisconsin primary. Am I excited? Not really.........more anxious and jittery. After the loss in Virginia last week, I believe Wisconsin is going to be more difficult to pull a victory from. But we do have Texas and Ohio to look forward too on March 4th. I'm going to do my best to get the big things done around here this week-end b/c I know next w/e, I'll be hitting those phone banks again!

EAU CLAIRE, WIS. -- "People ask me, 'Are you doing this for your future and your career?'" a worked-up Mike Huckabee said to a crowd of about 400 college students in the Green Bay area.

"Look, I may be killing my political career," he said. "But I know this, if we don't start thinking about solving America's problems, we're killing all your careers that are standing here today as students, and that's unacceptable."

It was an impassioned moment from a candidate who arrived on stage trying out a new batch of lines, which he delivered in a measured, if sometimes stilted, manner. "The national media has sort of said, well, the math doesn't work for you. Well let me give them some Huck-a-math here, okay?"

Huckabee said as he tried out the new concept on stage. Over the course of approximately five minutes, Huckabee made his argument. "We need to be adding to our borders for security... We need to subtract the idea of government spending...we need to be multiplying answers to the real problems we face in this country...and then we need to do some dividing. We need to divide up the nonsense in Washington and separate the children from the adults...Somebody's got to be willing to divide the divisiveness in Washington."

Huckabee was more relaxed and vibrant during a rare question and answer session that followed his speech. Asked how the education system could be improved, Huckabee spoke about the need for music and arts. "Take a five-year-old kid, and you don't have to beg him to draw a picture. Put a crayon and a piece of paper in his hand, what does he do - he draws a picture. Same kid, when he's fifteen, give him a piece of paper and a crayon, and he says, 'I'm not good at this.' Five-year-old kid - leave him alone, and he'll sing his lungs out. When he's fifteen, you can't coax him into singing. What happened? Our education system beat the ever living creativity out of him between the time he was five and fifteen. And it's virtually a criminal act we have not stimulated the creativity that is natural to every human being and instead we have stifled it. That has got to stop or we'll never be competitive in this world. We need a music and arts education for every student."

Huckabee also fielded a question on who he thought was more liberal -- Obama or Clinton. Rather than assess their liberal qualities, Huckabee mused over the "challenges" each would present for the GOP -- Hillary has a "formidable" political machine and Obama "has certainly captured a spirit and enthusiasm in this country and I admire him for that."

At the media avail that followed, Huckabee was asked to explain the comment he was "killing" his career. "Well, what I mean by that -- I was just saying there are a lot of people who say that you know I am staying and creating problems for the party and there are obviously some people in the party who are unhappy I am staying, now keep in mind, they are all supporting John McCain. But this sense that it's just his turn, let's just all step aside -- I find that insulting as a Republican and as a candidate.

Questioned again about whether he was helping or hurting his future, Huckabee said it wasn't about him. "I think I am helping the country's future, I think I'm helping the party's future," he said. "The party is not well-served if it doesn't have an honest discussion of who it is, where it's headed. And if the party can't handle having more than one point of view, then it's not a very strong party."

Poor Mike. He looks very tired.

Monday, Monday

Well, it's Monday and everyone has had the day off today except for me. I had two classes this morning and a paper to type up for tomorrow. Brandon is going to be my guest speaker in my late afternoon class tomorrow because I had to write a paper about how martial arts could either be bad for a child or benefit them. So I thought since he would be out of school that it would be fun for him to tell what he's learned. Not to mention there is only about 7 of us in the class. And I know my Professor would get a kick out it.

In my Child Development I class we are talking about childbirth so I took in my video of Brandons birth and my Professor loved it. She was cheering me on just as if she was there. Whew! what a memory!!!

I made 405 calls to Wisconsin yesterday, 85 on Saturday and about 40 today so far. I haven't had the television on at all today because I don't want to hear all the BS from McCrappy's side or the other "republicans" demanding Mike drop out of the race. If we weren't such a threat, they wouldn't pay any attention to us so what does that tell you.

And the BIG kicker of all today...........BRITTANY TURNED 18!!!! Oh lord, this could be either good.....or bad. It's just hard for me to take it all in right now at this point. Guess we'll see how things are when summer rolls around. Well, I'm off to finish up a few more assignments and figure out dinner. Then you know what I'm gonna do after that??? HIT THE PHONE BANKS!!!!!!!!

Views between Huckabee & McCain

I had seen this on one of blogs and had to share it. If you have anyone wanting to know the difference between McCain and Huckabee.......here's a good place to start.

I know there seem to be voter guides floating around all over the place, but I thought this was a good way to contrast Huckabee and McCain--on foundational, fundamental, traditional, constitutional, classic values.

Our First Unalienable Right: Life McCain thinks the states should decide for themselves. Huckabee thinks God has already decided.

Our Third Unalienable Right: The Pursuit of Happiness Our tax system tries pretty hard to hinder people in their pursuit of happiness. Not that happiness is all about money, but your money should not be plundered from you by the government. Huckabee wants to make it so that you decide the taxes you pay. With the Fair Tax, you only get taxed when you consume, not when you produce.

The Fair Tax would also eliminate other unfair ways which the government pilfers its people. McCain says he wants lower taxes, but he also voted against the Bush tax cuts. And, regardless of how much he wants to lower taxes, he still wants to keep the same old broken, unjust system.

The First Amendment Through veiled "campaign finance reform," McCain thinks that the government should have the authority to tell you how you are allowed to say something, when you are allowed to say it, and what you have to do before you can say it. Huckabee believes in free speech and the Constitution.

The Second Amendment Huckabee understands that the Second Amendment isn't something to be toyed with. He knows that our right to keep and bear arms is a check on tyranny. Any regulation or restriction on that right is extremely risky. McCain obviously doesn't realize that, and he's not afraid to hamper Second Amendment activist efforts through his "campaign finance reform."

The Cornerstone of the Family McCain believes that marriage is between a man and a woman, but he opposes a marriage amendment. Huckabee knows marriage is between a man and a woman, and he's willing to fight for it.

The Rule of Law Apparently, John McCain does not understand that, in America, we are not in the business of rewarding lawbreakers. We do not assist people in achieving profitable ends by bad means. It's not just about getting a secure border first, although McCain botched that principle when he teamed up with one of the most liberal senators in the history of the United States--Edward Kennedy of Massachusetts--to design comprehensive immigration "reform," or, more accurately, "deform" or "ill-informed."

It's not just about being a heavy-handed law-enforcer, either. It's about fairness, and it's about people starting their lives in America with their heads held high.

A glitch here, a slap in the face there....what next?

What a night! I sat down around 3:30 to start working on my phone banks and got the first 60 calls finished. I had done 20 last night before going to bed. Well, the phone banks are jammed and there aren't any new lists being assigned once we submit our current list in that particular bank. Well, after stewing for a few hours (which I now realize was major wasted time) and trying to contact HQ to let them aware of the problem....I was told to just make up a temporary Ranger ID to get a new phone bank. Well, it worked!! I just got another 60 calls in. I would go for the other 20, but it's close to 9pm here and Eric came home so that means Pugsley will be barking! I could have made close to 240 calls had I thought to just do something as simple as make up another ID.....geez!! The sad thing is, none of us thought of doing it and I'm not sure how many Rangers actually took the time to go through the registration process to get to a new phone bank. Mike wanted us to accomplish 15, 000 phone calls to Wisconsin today.........well, I have only accomplished 140 calls and my usually daily rate is close to 240-300. Tomorrow is going to be a crazy day on the board!! And I can't spend all night working the phones because we have a Baptismal Service at church from 5:30-7pm tomorrow night. And I still have a lesson plan to right up for Monday morning class.

Well, now that I have a temp. ranger account...maybe I can convince my mom to use it and make some calls. HINT! HINT!!

Everyone is really raking Mike over the coals and I just don't think it's fair. He is staying in this race because the people have asked him too stay in because he represents us. This is not just a political warfare for us, it's a spiritual warfare. And with situations such as our phone banks being jammed up by other supporters trying to download our databases, it proves that we are a true threat to this Presidential race. I will state ahead of time that I am not thrilled with President Bush coming out to endorse McCain. McCain has NOT sealed that nomination yet and this battle is not over.

Remember in the Old Testament, the story of David and Goliath. Well, David was just a small, little thing. Goliath was suppose to be the unstoppable giant. Remember who won that battle???? I rest my case!

My Commitment To You

I am seeking the Presidency because I care deeply about important issues facing America—Life, Marriage, the Fair Tax, the Second Amendment, American Border Security and Sovereignty. I am as committed to those issues as I ever was, and my campaigning around the country has convinced that the majority of Republicans want me to continue to fight for these and other conservative causes. So I will.

I know all about the rumors swirling around. That why I just went on national news shows this afternoon, to knock those rumors down. I am still in this race. As I have said all along, I am in this race until someone gets to 1191 delegates. That has not happened yet, and so I will keep campaigning for the Republican nomination. Period. That’s my ironclad commitment to my supporters.

Team Huckabee Only Grows Stronger....

Well, many of you have probably already heard today's news: Romney endorses John McCain. That's great! Terrific! The liberals should team up together. Which brings us to the most important point that Mitt Romney exposed to the nation today: He is not a true conservative and there IS only ONE true conservative in this race, Mike Huckabee.

When I first heard the news, I'll admit I was nauseated beyond belief. It really shouldn't have surprised me though....after all, Mittens has flip-flopped on numerous issues and to flip from being "conservative" to "liberal" is just another one of those moments for him I guess. I will state it right now, I WILL NOT vote for a McCain/Romeny ticket. I will just not vote if that is how the Republican Nomination turns out.

As far as the delegate count goes, here is how it works.

When Romney stopped “actively campaigning” he still retained his delegates. After the endorsement of McCain, they will be officially released.

When any candidate endorses, his delegates are released. But, one important note is that even though Romney will ask those delegates to support McCain they are not bound to do so. He has no “ownership” of them.

After searching the blogs and threads for Team Huckabee, I finally began to understand, along with many others, that this is not the end. This, in fact, could very well be a whole new beginning if we just keep the faith and continue to persevere!! If it's one thing I've learned by being a part of this campaign is that every time you strike out against Gov. Huckabee and you think you are about to bring him down......his supporters get stronger and stronger and align the Huckabee Army in position right behind Mike, if not a bit ahead of him trying to advise him by our wishes.

Gov. Huckabee is OUR VOICE!!! He speaks for me and my beliefs as a US citizen, a parent, a mother, a military wife, a teacher......as one who has parents to worry about in the future as far as their Social Security benefits are concerned and health insurance. HE SPEAKS FOR ME!! He speaks for many of us and I refuse to lay down my torch and allow the rest of the Republican party to tell me that my vote will not be counted. At this point, they want to believe that my vote won't even be accepted since we do not vote in North Carolina until May 6th. But I have decided that I will be heard because Gov. Huckabee is a fighter and will not quit this race. He will make sure that we are all heard. After all, isn't it the American people that are suppose to vote for their leaders and decide who they want to command their country?? I feel like the nomination is being purchased for a price again now that Romney is involved. Of course, Mike Huckabee is also purchasing this nomination with a price. One of dignity, hard work, truthfulness, backbone, Team Huckabee support and thousands upon thousands of volunteers making phone calls to countless states each and every week-end!!! THAT is the right price in which the Presidency should be purchased for.

So, hold your head up high......continue to tell others about Mike and JOIN OUR TEAM for the fight!!! Our children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren depend on US to lead the way.

"You Speak For So Many Of Us"

We almost did it. For the first hour or so as the Virginia returns came in, we held our breath. The few polls that had come out for Virginia after Super Tuesday showed us down by 25 and 30 points. We finished within single digits of Senator McCain and had we had a few more days to reach voters the results may have been even closer than that.

The path before us is clear: a primary in Wisconsin on Feb. 19 and then four primaries in Texas, Vermont, Rhode Island and Ohio on March 4. Our challenge moving forward is to redouble our efforts on the ground and raise the money we need to compete.

Last evening I explained in my email why I am running for President and what issues I am fighting for. I am also running to give you a voice in the process. To lift up your voice with mine and to tell our Party and our government that we need to do better. We need to think big and fight for our ideas.

Your notes back to me are inspiring:

-"Please keep running & don't get discouraged! You have my vote for as long as you're in the race!"

Guess who just called me?????

I just submitted my final calls for the evening to Virginia for the campaign about 15 minutes ago and hung up from my mom on the phone. I had logged off the internet and my cell phone rang. "Restricted Number." I have to admit, I was hesitant to answer it b/c I've been blocking my campaign phone calls so that no one has my personal number. Well, I answered it. A man asked if he was speaking to Rhonda. Of course I said, yes. He said that "this is Gov. Huckabee. I'm just calling to thank you for all the hard work you've put into my campaign. You have really amazed me." Well, I'm in a bit of shock and this point. He sounded so young and was so eloquent, just like he is when he's speaking on television. Now that I think of it, he's on Larry King Live tonight at 9:30 pm. I got called before that!!! Yeehaw!!!
I told him that it was his beliefs that amazed me and the it was worth any amount of time and work I could give to his campaign. The thing that made it so amazing was he addressed me by my first name several times. Now, Eric will probably never believe that he called me! If it wasn't for the kids hearing me scream in excitement afterward.....LOL Right now, I'm still in shock and happy as all go-get!

We have a big day ahead of us tomorrow in VA, DC, and MD. I know that things will go according to God's plan. We are in this all the way to the White House. 1191 delegates!!!

We are still needing team members to help promote Gov. Huckabee! The call list is now available for the state of Virginia. I'm hoping to get a few calls in on Monday afternoon. I just don't feel right making phone calls on Sunday's and I think that Gov. Huckabee would respect that out of me. And I have a solo at church in the morning so I truly don't feel like starting them tonight.....I think I'm just a bit tired and my throat is a bit sore from screaming when we won Kansas today!! I think our campaign should have a new motto....."We believe in miracles, you can do the math!"

Texas Gov. Rick Perry has asked Mike Huckabee to drop out of the GOP presidential race, but Huckabee — who says he’s banking on “miracles” in his long-shot bid against John McCain — declined.

Perry, a McCain supporter, called Huckabee Friday asking him to pull out for the good of the party, according to a senior Huckabee campaign aide.

Huckabee confirmed he received the call, and said he didn’t take it seriously.
“I told that him while I appreciated it, with all due respect, since he was already on someone else’s team that I had to discount his advice since he had a vested interest in my not winning and McCain winning,” he said. “Since he was endorsing my opponent, therecommendation rang a little hollow to me. Again it was a cordial conversation but not one that I would take seriously.”

Huckabee won the Kansas GOP caucuses Saturday, after telling the Conservative Political Action Conference in Washington, D.C., that morning, “I didn’t major in math …. I majored in miracles, and I still believe in them.”

The former Arkansas governor and Southern Baptist pastor told the audience he would not be quitting. But he still trails McCain by a wide margin in the delegate count.

Perry placed the call to Huckabee after Mitt Romney pulled out of the race earlier in the week, leaving McCain the presumptive nominee.

On the flight from Kansas to Washington D.C. late last night Mike Huckabee was talking to members of his inner circle about the big expectations for his speech today at the Conservative Political Action Conference, the annual gathering of conservatives in the Nation’s Capitol.

“The pressure is on, ” Huckabee said to his staff, smiling. For the remainder of the flight ,he was left alone, as he worked on the text of the speech.
Huckabee was right, the expectations were astronomically high for his address. Mitt Romney, supported by many of the establishment conservatives at this meeting, had dropped out Thursday, and the GOP presumptive nominee, John McCain, is far from a favorite son for many at this conference, who still resent McCain’s defeated immigration reform bill . Not only did Huckabee have to convince those in attendance about meeting their conservative standards(that some like the Club for Growth had questioned) but he had to defend what many consider a quixotic attempt to continue campaigning even as McCain continues to amass delegates, 719 to Huckabee’s 198.

So as he stepped up to the podium today, the lingering question , hovering above the crowd, was could he do it?

If the loud audience reaction is an accurate indicator, then yes, Huckabee delivered today.

Hitting his mark, he emphasized the issues that resonated well with the several hundred cheering conservatives in the room:

Pro-traditional marriage, pro-life stance, border security, all Republican platform benchmarks, and with Huckabee’s argument for each, the audience roared with approval,and regular standing ovations.

Huckabee also took the opportunity to say that, despite McCain’s colossal lead in delegates, he had no plans to bow out. “I know the pundits, and I know what they say, that the math doesn’t work out.Folks,I didn’t major in math,I majored in miracles, and I believe in those,” Huckabee said to cheers. “Am I quitting? Let’s get that settled right now. No, I’m not.” The crowd waved signs, and chanted: We like Mike… We like Mike.

Huckabee then concluded with a story from a supporter from Kentucky who had recently lost her house in the tornadoes that ravaged the South on Tuesday.
“Despite damage to her home there was one thing that was pretty remarkable,she had a Mike Huckabee yard sign..when the tornado had gone through,standing pristine, without a hint of damage, or even meaning,was that yard sign.”Huckabee continued.”Across America, everywhere there is still a vote to be cast, I am still standing.”

Kansas Caucus tomorrow morning at 10AM CST

I'm telling ya, by the end of this primary election, I will not have a voice left. I could have made phone calls all afternoon long, but I only made around 175. It was nice to get the occasional Huckabee supporter. As of 8:30 tonight we only have 5,000 phone calls to make so the rest of the team should be able to get that accomplished. Gov. Huckabee had stated yesterday that he would personally call the one that made the majority of phone calls today. Well, that excited me, but it's not about the number of phone calls I make....it's about what I believe in and I strongly believe in everything that Gov. Huckabee stands for. That alone to me is worth more than a phone call and the farther I can help him get in his candidacy....the more rewarded I am because I am a part of that.

Tomorrow, I'm going to work on making a big sign for the back of my car and try to scavenge up some wood around the neighborhood and have Brady try and build a sign so we can paint and put it in the front yard. We have a neighbor down the road that has had his little Obama sign up for quite a few months so now that we are really standing out in this race, it's time to let our red, white and blue colors shine above his.

Eric got back tonight from his first military adventure since being back on assignment. Geez, I sure was hoping for a few more days of quiet. Pugs has barked ever since he has gotten home. Well, I'm off to hit the books for a while. Remind me next time I get so passionate about a candidate to not take so many college classes. They interfer with my volunteer work! haha But who ever thought that I would be working on a Presidential campaign??!!! Certainly NOT ME!!

Now you all knew that I could not let the day go without posting this great news! I was in shock when I ran home for lunch in between work and classes this evening and turned on FOX News for just a second and heard that Mitt Romney has indeed suspended his race. What does this all mean? Well, I'll let Mike explain it himself.

Today, Mitt Romney announced that he will no longer seek the Republican nomination for President. I wish Mitt and his family all the best.

Over the past year, Mitt and his entire family have sacrificed a lot during the course of his campaign and for that, we should all be appreciative of their service and dedication.

This is a two-man race for the nomination, and I am committed to marching on. I believe in the importance of a strong national defense -- which includes winning the war against Islamic extremists and the protection of American sovereignty.

I am redoubled in my resolve to carry on my campaign in a civil, dignified manner. The issues that got me into this campaign—protecting life and traditional marriage, enacting the Fair Tax, and border security are going to keep me in this campaign.

As a true authentic, consistent, conservative, I have a vision to bring hope, opportunity and prosperity to all Americans, and I’d like to ask for and welcome the support of those who had previously been committed to Mitt.

What a long day....

Whew! It's been a very long day........I guess that's what happens if you stay up after midnight and have to be up by six for classes. Theory class at that!!! I thought I could sneak a quick nap in between school and church but the pups refused to let that happened. They got to sleep, but not me. It was all worth it though. I'll be hitting the hay early tonight. At least right after I see if Sean Hannity hangs his head low on Hannity & Colmes tonight.

Tomorrow, it all begins again. We need to make 100,000 phone calls by Monday for the upcoming election on Tuesday I believe. I didn't read it in great detail just yet. I won't be able to contribute much this time around because I have a project due in another week, but I will get some calls in. After the 980 I made this past week-end to Tennessee, Georgia, & Alabama, I am thrilled that I took all the time that I did to contribute to that. It made me feel like I was a big part of last nights victory. And Gov. Huckabee has been so great about sending us emails thanking us for our hard work and also verbally thanking us in his network interviews.

We all believe in what he stands for so it makes it worth it. But I'm not going to bore you with politics tonight.

The Bobby Cutts murder trial started on Monday. I have been trying to follow it, but they have not broadcast it on CourtTV and they haven't shared much information about it on FOX either. Here is what I do know though........Bobby's ex-wife Kelly testified today. There have also been several women that Bobby Cutts had affairs with that have testified in the past few days as well. I guess the guy really got around! YUCK!!!! Evidently, he had told one of his friends a month before Jessie's death that he was "going to kill her and throw her in the woods." My question is, why didn't that "friend" come forward when they were looking for Jessie in June???? Also, Myisha Ferrel testified against Bobby Cutts stating how he picked her up and did not tell her that Jessie's body was in the back of the truck. When they got to the location to leave her body, she saw feet and it freaked her out. Well, IT SHOULD HAVE!!! And she should have immediately reported that to the police. So, I guess we will have to wait and see what happens tomorrow. I just wish they would televise it!! It was such a national media story, we should be able included in the trial. I'd rather watch that then OJ Simpson crap!

Well, I am logging off to watch the very well respected Bill O'Reilly. I also need to check the doors for the night because we have an escape convict on the loose around here. We had a two hour delay yesterday because of a 5 man prison break at the county jail. One man is still on the run. I'm sure he's long gone now.........if the Marine can get to Mexico and not get caught, then this dude can. And the marine has had plenty of media coverage!

You know, over the past few days a lot of people have been trying to say that this is a two-man race. Well, you know what? It is. And we're in it!

Tonight, we are making sure America understands that sometimes one small smooth stone is even more effective than a whole lot of armor.

And we've also seen that the widow's mite has more effectiveness than all the gold in the world.

Janet and I and our family and team want to begin by saying thanks, first of all, to the wonderful of people of Arkansas, where it all started and where tonight we have a wonderful, wonderful victory here at home.

We love this state, always have and always will. And tonight we're reminded again why — because of the incredible people who believed in us early and stayed with us through all of the times when so many people said you can't get there. And tonight we're proving that we're still on our feet, and much to the amazement of many, we're getting there, folks. We're getting there.

We have been standing for small business owners who know that government has for way too long had its foot on their neck, with taxes that were too high, regulations that were too onerous. The threat of litigation made it impossible for many small business owners to survive. And our party once stood to make sure that we helped clear the way so that the free market system really worked. And we're going do it again because one of these days when I get to be president — and it won't be very long, about a year from now ... I really do look forward to nailing the 'going out of business' sign on the front door of the IRS.

And when we have the fair tax, a lot of small business owners and individuals will finally have a fair shot of getting a part of the American dream.

We're here tonight and winning states across the South because we've stood for the idea that mothers and fathers raise better kids than governments do. And government ought to undergird a family, not undermine a basic family's rights to raise their own kids. And that's one of the reasons we're here tonight.

We're here tonight because people want to know that the president is going to secure our borders and make it so it's not more difficult to get on an airplane in your hometown than it is to cross the international border, and that we're going to fix an issue that the federal government has allowed to go unchallenged for a long, long time. We're here tonight because a lot of people in the South and across America know that the Second Amendment is to be respected as much as the First Amendment. And they know that there's only one candidate who has a consistent record of making sure we do that.

And one of the reasons that we're here tonight is because there's no candidate who has been more consistent and clear about the fact that we should honor the words of our forefathers who said all of us are created equal. And that means that every single person has intrinsic worth and value. And we should uphold the sanctity of human life because it is a cornerstone of our culture of life.

And ladies and gentlemen, tonight I believe that one of the things you're saying across the nation is that people are saying the conservatives do have a choice because the conservatives have a voice. And tonight, they're getting a chance to express that. And from here, they'll get to continue expressing that choice and that voice.

Now, it's tough for this old razorback to say things like roll, tide roll, but I'm doing it tonight.

And it's tough for this old razorback to look over there to the state just to the east of us and anticipate being able to say that we're two volunteers. I think before the night is over, I'll even be singing "Rocky Top."

This old razorback may even catch some bulldog fever before the night is over. And we're going to forget all about the Cotton Bowl and even be grateful for our friends to the north before tonight night is over, I'm fully believing.

But tonight is far more important than contests between the rivalry of some of our states in athletics, starting today with the wonderful people of West Virginia who gave us a surprising, stunning, and wonderful victory.

Today has been a day when the people have spoken. And today people across this country are saying that, yes, we heard what the pundits said. But this is our vote, not theirs. This is our election, not theirs. This is our presidency, not theirs.

And for all those people who have made sacrifices to help us be here, I want to say thank you. And I also want you to know that as long as there's still votes and delegates to be won until that magic number of 1,191, there's going be one guy answering the bell every time there's a new round.

WEST VIRGINIA CHOOSES HUCKABEE!!

This just in at 2:23 p.m. Mike Huckabee has won the GOP delegates in the second round in West Virginia. It's been the very first win declared today. I am jumping with glee!!!! Last time I checked the polls on that, Romney was in the lead, but word has it that Ron Paul and McCain told all of their delegates to hand them over to Huckabee, NOT ROMNEY!!! This is going to be a long night, but one full of excitement and I do believe fulfillment of all the hard work we have done on this campaign. CONGRATULATIONS GOV. HUCKABEE!!!!!

Mittens??? Can it be????

Oh lord, Willard Mittens Romney....is that not a wonderful name for our President........NOT!!!! I'm so glad that Gov. Huckabee came out yesterday and stated the true fact that Mr. Romney is nothing but "arrogant!" AMEN!!!!

Well, I had to do something tonight I never thought I'd have to do....I had to give FOX News a little piece of my mind. They had an article on there entitled: Romney to Huckabee: Stop Whining. Ready for my response??? Here ya go:

Gov. Huckabee is holding his head high above all the negative attacks thrown at him by Mitt Romney. Romney has been a very unfair candidate in this race since Iowa. He is the one that launched the negative attack ads against both Gov. Huckabee and Senator McCain. It seems to me that poor old Mitt can't handle the heat. He runs with his tail between his legs when someone says something truthfully negative to him. I have never seen or heard anyone change their views as much as he has in this campaign. Nor have I ever seen so much arrogance in a political figure. I DO NOT want a President that lies to me and cannot be honest and truthful. As an active duty military wife of 14 years and counting, I need to know that I can trust the Commander and Chief when it comes to being truthful about my husband's life being on the line serving his country, and Mitt Romney is not someone who can be trusted.

Mr. Romney is the one that needs to stop whining about not getting votes. Truth is, he has put all of his own money into this race and he still cannot buy the nomination. Gov. Huckabee on the other hand, has played fair. I am proud to be a Huckabee volunteer and supporter. And I will continue to be just that. There is no way that I would give my vote to Mitt Romney EVER!! Gov. Huckabee and Mr. Romney don't even have the same values so the fact that Mr. Romney keeps stating that Gov. Huckabee is taking votes away from him is ludicrous. We want someone that has conservative values, sticks to their record, knows their views on human life and is not a quitter. Mr. Romney is nothing more than a plastic figure that will soon pass.

As far as "a vote for Huckabee is a vote for McCain" goes......Gov. Huckabee is his own candidate and a vote for Gov. Huckabee is just that. A vote for Huckabee! If I wanted to vote for Senator McCain then I would do so. If the Romney supporters listened to the exit polls from the Florida elections they would see that more than 40% of Huckabee supporters stated that they would vote for McCain way before they would ever cast a vote Romney's way.

Mr. Romney needs to stop playing the blame game and suck it up and accept that he has indeed put himself in this position. My vote is for Governor Huckabee and he will continue on in this race until the end.

Is the media starting to turn our way???

Well, my morning started off just great. By 7:18 a.m., I was on the local Talk Radio station defending Gov. Huckabee against Mitt Romney. My children laughed as they were stating Mitt Romney's claims that all the Huckabee supporters would give their votes to him if Gov. Huckabee dropped out of the race. I immediately reached for my phone and within 5 minutes was on the air!

I expressed to Brad & Britt that Gov. Huckabee's values were the very opposite of Mitt Romney's and there is no way any Huckabee supporter would shift to Romney. It was a very civil and supportive conversation. They had stated they could hear the passion in my voice over my choice of candidate and we were on the air for a good 12 minutes or so. A great way to start out my Monday!! Of course, I was up last night emailing USA Today and others that were being bias towards Gov. Huckabee and will probably continue to do so this afternoon and throughout the evening. Only 235 more phone calls to reach my goal of 800 and those will be completed this afternoon!

The latest Fox News poll showed Romney and Huckabee in a statistical tie in a national survey of GOP voters.

"What Huckabee voters are doing is reminding talk radio and the establishment that in America, voters make the choice about who is president, not some oligarchy of talking heads," said Lucas Roebuck, a Huckabee supporter and former Arkansas newspaper editor.

Okay, now we have another attack on Gov. Huckabee. Laura Ingraham has a section on her website that states: LIE OF THE DAY.....well, guess who was featured?? You guessed it....here is what it says...along with the truth that follows (according to Laura Ingraham).


LIE OF THE DAY: Governor Mike Huckabee, speaking at the Commonwealth Club of California: "I'm staying in the race because I still think I can win."
THE TRUTH: In reality, he's staying in as a Romney-killer, hoping for a slot on the McCain ticket.

Well, what do you think I did? Of course! You all are getting to know my strategies so well! It's a good thing I was younger when my dad ran for office and we didn't have all this internet technology or else I'd have slammed some people real good. I CANNOT stand someone who cannot tell the truth and when you tell a lie to maliciously hurt someone, you piss me off even more!!! So, here is what I had to say to Ms. Ingraham:

Ms. Ingram, I am very displeased to see that you are twisting the words of other Presidential candidates to make the candidate you've endorsed to look better. Everyone knows that Mitt Romney has tried to do his best to buy the nominee and hasn't come close to accomplishing that. Why would you want to say that Gov. Huckabee is a "Romney-killer and only in this race to keep votes from Romney?" First of all, Gov. Huckabee started this race with the intent to finish, has raised all of his own contributions, and has worked hard to get where he is. He has the same right to continue on in the race as Mitt Romney does. After all, he did win Iowa and come in a very tight second in SC. Mitt Romney has launched several negative attack ads at both Gov. Huckabee and Senator John McCain....thankfully, they were man enough not to launch horrible negative lies back at Romney. And because they decided to be the better man, everyone wants to say that Gov. Huckabee is in the race to spoil it for Romney. Well, I'm sorry but that is not the way it is. Gov. Huckabee has a very good chance of knocking Mitt Romney out of his second place (or silver medal) positiion on Super Tuesday and beyond. We want a true conservative in the White House and Mitt Romney is certainly not that. He has changed his stance on so many issues too many times. I think that it is ludicrous and appauling that you would put these attacking lies on your website and promote them. And another thing that needs clarifying....Mtt Romney continues to say that a "vote for Huckabee is a vote for McCain..."anything to turn the attention on poor ol' Mitt. I know that I speak for all Huckabee supporters when I say there is NOT A ONE of us that would turn and cast a vote for Mitt Romney!!! He is the exact opposite of what our candidate represents. So, Mr. Romney is the one that needs to step aside and he needs to move out of the way because all the money in the world will not be able to buy him the nomination for President of the United States. But I would appreciate it if you published the REAL TRUTH and not Mitt Romney's lies and cries.

Now, I urge all of you to visit Ms. Ingraham's site at www.lauraingraham.com and speak up for Gov. Huckabee!!! Of course, she has recently come out in the past few days to endorse Mitt Romney. That's her choice, but she has no right to slander our choice.

Huck-A-Bowl......

Well, today I am taking a phone break........I figure that I can get the rest of my 235 calls tomorrow during the early afternoon and get many answering machines. haha So, I thought I'd change it up a bit today....

Even though everyone else in the house seems to have on their sporting gear for today's big Superbowl game, I decided to wear my team shirt.....Team Huckabee. We have a scout party later this evening so it should be a good ice breaker and advertising for Gov. Huckabee without opening my mouth. hehe Who knows, maybe we'll even post some pictures tomorrow.

Speaking of pictures, here is a few of poor Meadow watching out the window for her grandma to come back for a visit!! Can't you tell how sad she is.........??? Look at those big brown eyes?? How in the world could you not want to look at them at least once a month? HAHA

Listen up Sean Hannity and Mitt Romney........

THIS IS NOT A TWO MAN RACE!!! The last time I checked, it still involved four republican candidates....and Mike Huckabee WAS one of them! I cannot believe how bias and liberal Mr. Hannity has become about his views in this race. I respect the fact that he has his chosen candidate, Mr. Romney, but am appauld that he excludes the other two candidates from the race. It's sad that Mitt Romney has put in over 33 million dollars of his very own money for this race and that he still hasn't bought the nomination yet. Not to mention all of the contributions he has received during his campaign. At least the Huckabee campaign has utulized their monetary funds to the best of their ability and look, we are STILL in the race and we have come just as far as Romney, if not further! Not to mention all of the money that Ron Paul's campaign has raised in support of him. Mr. Paul isn't out there being negative and evil to his opponents either.

Last night while I was driving Brandon to karate I happened to turn Hannity's radio show on just to see what kind of bull he had to state this time. Well, he announced that Gov. Huckabee was going to be on Hannity & Colmes latter in the evening and that they were going to debate. He stated that this was the second time he has been the target of Huckabee supporters getting upset with him and he doesn't know why. Hmmmmm Sean....I dunno know! You're a smart man, figure it out! I'm sure if we were excluding Romney from the race you'd get a little bent under the collar. So, of course, I tuned in to Hannity & Colmes, even told my parents to try and catch it on FOX news (who never watch the news), and guess what???? GOVERNOR HUCKABEE WAS NOT ON!!!! Not even mentioned!!!!!!! What kind of crap is that???

I am sick and tired of hearing the Romney supporters state that Gov. Huckabee needs to step aside and get out of the race because he is hurting Romney. Where does Mitt get that Huckabee is in his way?? And I know for a fact that Huckabee supporters would not give their vote to Romney! He doesn't support the Second Ammendment, (he says that he likes to hunt but for some reason, he's never had a hunting license!!!); he was pro-choice before he decided to run for President and then he decided to switch over and become pro-choice. Are you starting to see a pattern here? Once a liar, always a liar! I want the President of the United States to be honest and truthful with the American people. And if Mitt Romney can't be honest about the little things, how in the world is he going to be honest with us about terrorism, the economy, health care and the education of our children?? Trust me, there is no Huckabee supporter falling for that!

We want an honest, sincere, President that works hard and turns the other cheek when a punch is thrown at him. Who stands by his beliefs and if there is an issue that the American people do not support him on and he could get hundreds of more votes if he changed his opinion, he's not going to change his mind to be a people-pleaser!! Mike Huckabee is a man of intergrity, strong character, and has a passion for our country.

Mitt Romney has also been heard quoting several times today, "....a vote for Huckabee is just a vote for McCain." Hmm, a vote for Huckabee seems to be a vote FOR Huckabee the way that I see it along with other Team Huckabee members. The names Huckabee and McCain don't even start with the same letter so I can't figure out how they could be voting for Huckabee by accident.

So, Mr. Romney, my suggestion to you is that you be the candidate to step out of the way and lay your very dim torch down. After all, you haven't stood by any of your issues and you can't even answer a question without trying to wiggle out of it. The majority of the media state that Gov. Huckabee isn't attacking Senator McCain because there is a deal in the works for vice presidency. That theory is quite simple to analyze. The only reason that Gov. Huckabee isn't attacking Senator McCain is simple.....he doesn't have a reason too. Senator McCain didn't run negative ads against Gov. Huckabee when they were head to head in New Hampshire....but I do believe you, Mr. Romney, ran several negative ads against both Senator McCain and Gov.Huckabee. So let me explain it to you the way that I would to one of my preschool students....."if you don't play nicely, then the other children are not going to want to play nice with you. In fact, they won't want to play with you at all." I'm sure that you've heard that you "reap what you sow, Mr. Romney, so now you are doing just that. And I have no sympathy for you, nor does anyone that I know have any sympathy for you, let alone support you. Governor Huckabee publicly announced today in Montgomery, Alabama that he will not leave this race. He is not a quitter and once this marathon is over, then it's over. There will be an ending......and it won't be one in which Mitt Romney has any control. This race is far from over. The republicans need 1109 delegates for the win. Right now, Huckabee is in a very tight third. And I do mean TIGHT!!! Mr. Romney, it's going to be my honor to watch you lose this race. Your arrogance and pride win nothing for you. And I will publicly state that even if you happened to be the republican nominee, I would not vote for you in any way, shape or form. But that's not something I have to worry about........because you will never win. I want a real President for my country, not a plastic one!
