Some Christmas Pictures.....

We had a pretty intense Christmas. My daughter came to visit and it was great to have her here. We went to visit grandmother and she had a pretty emotional day wanting to come home with us. It was heartbreaking, but we were able to calm her before leaving.

She was so thankful for every gift....

Trying to calm her down a bit to reassure her I'd be back......

Christmas Eve was another story. We were visiting my sister-in-law and just out of the blue, my dear hubby had a seizure. I was TERRIFIED!!!! He's never had them before. I knew to get him on his side immediately so that he wouldn't choke and was amazed that I remember all my CPR training. Although, I prefer to NEVER have to use it again!!! I didn't know what was happening at first. I thought he was having a heart attack or stroke. He'd been fine all week and he said he didn't even feel it coming on. His face turned blue and I truly thought I was going to be spending Christmas Day planning my husband's funeral. That was how intense it was.

Everything was going through my head. I couldn't lose him. He is the most gracious, hardworking man that I know. No one has ever been as good to me in my life as he is. He didn't even know who I was for close to 15 minutes or so. It turned out that he had a major drop in sugar and they believe that is what caused him to seize. He refused to go to the hospital of course with the paramedics but he did allow me to take him after much begging (and a bit of threatening). Everything came back normal. I still don't trust it though. All I can do is sit and worry if it is going to happen again.

I guess I need to stop unloading my problems to ya'll. Enjoy some of our holiday photos!

The Last of My Christmas Cards

It has been a busy two weeks trying to get everything ready for Christmas. Especially since we have had quite a few snow days at school and two hour delays. But, I managed to get everything finished (I think.....) Anyhow, here are the last of my Christmas cards. I scraplifted a few ideas, but my mind is so frazzled that I can't remember who I got the idea from.

I LOVE this little guy

I have decided that part of my New Year's resolution will be to scrapbook more for ME in 2011. I have started a blog just for this journey. Join me at Scrappin' 365

This is my favorite one

Have a wonderful and blessed Christmas!

I made this one for my Asst. Director b/c she loves bears. The inside says Christmas

Presents Wrapped By Preschoolers.....

Well, we have another snow day! That means we will have to make it up on Monday and Tuesday which is when our Christmas vacation began. I am so bummed, but at least we will be able to have the childrens holiday party.

I guess I will continue to work on my Christmas cards today. Our roads are so icy that the puppies are even gliding across the yard.

I thought I'd share an ornament that my kiddos made. I had cut the presents out with my cricut of course and then I had them cut various kinds of Christmas scrapbooking paper out and glue it around the present as if they were wrapping a present for their mom and dad. They were having fun and developing those fine motor skills as well by using their scissors. I photographed each child in front of the church Christmas tree and then laminated them to make all the paper flat that they had glued on. I also put the year on them with Stickles. Then I added a minature bow at the top to hide the hole punch the ribbon went through. Everyone thought they came out cute.

A Few Christmas Card Creations

Here are a few Christmas cards that I created for our Dirty Santa gift exchange at work. I was surprised that people actually fought over them. :o)

I'm hoping to make a few more over the week-end.

We had a snow day today...........bummer because it was suppose to be our Christmas party at school. I am already sick of the cold weather.

More Christmas Craft Photo

Handprint Christmas trees.....

We have had a whirlwind of a week at school. Monday and Tuesday, we had a 2 hr delay. That left us with an hour and 20 minutes of class time. Not so good at Christmas when mothers are wanting precious crafts. But we are working hard to make up for lost time. Here are a few of the children's creations.

We have Christmas lights around our doorway.....

Our stockings are hung.....

Preparing For the Holidays

Thanksgiving went by so quickly! I was at Walmart by 9:45 that night preparing for the big Black Friday Sale. What chaos!!! I had fun though. My husband and I tackled the mall on Black Friday morning and got quite a few bargins for ourselves.

Saturday, we got our Christmas tree put up and all the stockings for the pups hung. There are way too many stockings!! LOL

Then on Sunday, we went to spend the afternoon with grandmother. She just lights up when I walk in the room. She is so lonely and I hate not being there for her more during this time of year, but I am so busy with work and getting things ready for the preschoolers parents for Christmas.

Today, we ended up having a 2 hr. delay so we only had an hour and a half of school. I had a total of five students. So, we didn't get much done. Tomorrow, we have another 2 hr. delay. There isn't even any snow left on the ground and they are delaying school. They'd never survive living in West Virginia!

Well, I'm think I'm going to start working on my Christmas cards. At least those for my preschoolers. Stay warm!
