Fall Creations

Our Squirrels and Little Acorn Trees

Here are a few sweet pieces of art that the kids have done during the past few weeks. Our door is "Falling For Jesus". The kids marble painted the leaves and they have their pictures in doily leaves that I purchased at the Dollar Tree. I can't wait to get started on Halloween crafts next week!

We did a unit on learning to cough and sneeze in our elbow or a tissue......it was awesome!! Afterward, we made these cute little faces to remind us.

It's Been A While...

House and Jasper

Wow! Seems like forever since I blogged last. I've been so busy with work and family that I haven't had a chance to write anything. The summer went by so quickly. I'm loving the fall weather though.

Renesmee, Bella and Jasper

Since I blogged last, we have had 3 new family members to add to our pack around here. On June 5th Mama gave birth to Bella, Jasper and Renesmee. They are so precious that we decided to keep them all! I hope you enjoy the photo's. I promise to do better at updating this site! :o)

Eclipse: Love Is Forever Video

As most of you know, I am a major Twilight addict anymore. Once I began reading the books, I realized just what an amazing author Stephenie Myers truly is. The movies were great....but the books are beyond that. My husband thinks I've lost it because I've went so "twicrazy"! :o) I can't wait until the Eclipse premiere June 30th!!! Here is Muse's new video from the Twilight:Eclipse soundtrack. Another amazing song!

Life Is At Full Swing

Wow! Two more weeks and the school year is over! It has flown by. I have been focused on nothing but getting end of the year projects done for my students. I am really looking forward to just kicking back and spending some time scrapbooking over the summer. I have a ton to catch up on and I'm excited about it.

My sweet husband has been working longer hours the past few weeks so that has given be even more alone time. The boys have been busy with tennis, baseball and scouting. They are just growing up too fast!!!!!

Hope everyone is enjoying the beautiful sunshine out there!

Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head.....

Wow! It's been a busy month at school. It seems like just yesterday we started and in less than a month we'll be saying good-bye to our sweet kiddo's. Of course, I'll still see them in the hallways, but it's still bittersweet.

I just had to share our raindrops that the kids painted last month. We had hung them from the ceiling in the classroom. Of course, the kids love seeing their photo's anywhere. Here are just a few...

Jon Voight's Letter to President Obama

Governor Huckabee had Jon Voight on his show, Huckabee, which airs on FOX News every Saturday night at 8 p.m. This interview was powerful and stunning!! It is comforting to know as a conservative republican that I have someone willing to speak up and not be afraid to use their voice to speak up for the American people.

A Letter To President Obama From Jon Voight

A LETTER TO PRESIDENT OBAMA AND THE AMERICAN PEOPLE FROM JON VOIGHT

0 4-11-2010 7:44 pm - Jon Voight

Below is the text of the letter:-----------------------------------------

“In one year, the American people are witnessing the greatest lie that is cleverly orchestrated by President Obama and his whole administration. The lie is a potent aggression that feeds the needs of people who either have not educated themselves enough to understand the assault upon us all or the very poor and needy who live to be taken care of.President Obama feeds these people poison, giving them the idea that they are entitled to take from the wealthier who have lived and worked in a democracy that understands that capitalism is the only truth that keeps a nation healthy and fed. Now the lie goes very deep and President Obama has been cleverly trained in the Alinsky method and it would be very important that every American knows what that method is. It is a socialistic, Marxist teaching and with it, little by little, he rapes this nation, taking down our defenses, making new language for the Islamic extremists. The world looked up to us as a symbol of hope and prosperity now wonders what will become of the entire world if America is losing its power. The American people who understand exactly what is taking place have come together in the thousands, vowing to try to stay together as a unit of love and freedom for all men and women, from all walks of life, shivering to think that this once great nation will be a third world country. This will be the first president to ever weaken the United States of America. President Obama uses his aggression and arrogance for his own agenda, against the will of the American people when he should be using his will and aggression against our enemies. Every loving American for peace and truth and the security of our nation must come out and join the Tea Parties in their states. The opposition will continue their tactics; they will lie and plant their own bullies amongst us. Everyone must pay close attention to who stands next to them. We can weed out the liars and agitators. Let us all stay in Gods light. Let no man put asunder. We can and we will prevail.

God bless us all!”

Fair Tax Petition!

Many of you may have been listening to the news lately and you have heard a lot of talk about the VAT tax. As an ex-military spouse who lived in Germany for several years, the VAT tax is not a good thing. Please read the following from Gov. Huckabee. I became interested in the Fair Tax during the Presidential campaign in 2007. I am a state representative for the Fair Tax as well. That's how much I believe in the system. I pray you educate yourself and get involved.

Petition For A Fair Tax Congress

Tax Day is rapidly approaching. As Americans prepare to give an unfair and growing amount of their paychecks to the Federal Government, our mission is clearer now more than ever:

Folks, it is time we put the IRS out of business.

Together we can accomplish this goal if we work hard to elect a record number of candidates to Congress this November who support the Fair Tax or who are willing to learn more about it.

But before I explain how we do this, let me first - for those of you who are unfamiliar with the Fair Tax - briefly explain how it works.

You get rid of income tax.

You get rid of all the withholding.

You get rid of corporate taxes completely, totally. After all - those taxes are not really paid by the corporations. They're passed on to the customer with a 22 percent embedded tax in the system.

You eliminate that, which means the prices of what you purchase will go down.

You replace it with a 23 percent consumption tax. Now, that sounds expensive, but you only pay when you purchase something new, whether it's a product or a service.

Also, it's a completely transparent tax system.

It doesn't increase taxes. It's revenue neutral. It will bring business back to the United States that leaving our shores - our current, complicated, unfair tax laws make it impossible for an American-based business to compete with lower tax structures in other countries.

Political insiders will say something this "sweeping" will never be passed. They're wrong! With your help . . . it can - and it will.

I urge you to sign this petition to the Republican candidates running for Congress. Help us reach 50,000 signatures by April 15 > .

I have signed this petition and I hope and pray that you will add your signature next to mine.

Information For Contacting Your Congressman

I haven't had a chance to visit Gov. Huckabees blog the past few weeks and I was browsing around today to catch up. I am sharing the following article with you that he posted. Many of us are unhappy with the way we were blindsided with the healthcare vote. Being forced to pay a mandatory fine is not freedom! If we had the money to pay that steep of a fine, then we'd have the money for health insurance!!! Please visit HuckPAC for more information or to volunteer. Also, visit Call Congress Now.

CallCongressNow.com

Congress Didn't Listen To Us This Time

For months, President Obama, Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid have insisted that they know best when it comes to health care reform.

With this vote, Congress decided what kind of health care you have access to and how much it will cost.

They also decided not to respect us and take us for fools.

I am frustrated and I know you are as well. Ten days ago I launched a website called CallCongressNow.com and asked voters to call their representatives and Senators and tell them to vote no. Over 151,000 people visited the website and spent almost 4,000 hours on making calls pleading with their leaders in Washington to vote no. This time Congress listened more to party bosses than to you.

Now there is something else you can and must do: Get personally involved to dump them. Let’s replace this Congress with Republicans that will listen to the people.

If you don't like the way your congressman voted and you don’t want your family burdened with new mountains of debt from out-of-control Washington spending and you don’t want your tax dollars to fund abortion then write as big a check as you can to one of his or her opponents or to my leadership committee Huck PAC.

More Mountaineer Mania...

Just a little more Mountaineer humor to rub into those in the household that are Duke fans. I went shopping in Winston-Salem today and was amused that every sport store except for ONE didn't carry any WVU merchandise. I made it known that I wasn't pleased. Hehe One store was nothing but Carolina blue........worse than Duke!

Tip off is around 8:37 p.m. Saturday night. Let's Go Mountaineers!!!!!

Hitler Finds Out WVU won

If you're a West Virginia fan, you've probably already seen this on Facebook but I just had to share it. It is hilarious!!! You may have to click the video to make it full screen.

Our house is divided due to the big game Saturday night. R is a Duke fan, and of course, I bleed blue and gold!! :o) I usually cheer for Duke when they play down here in Carolina but I won't be cheering this time! Not too mention they have been making their immature RUDE redneck comments already!

LET'S GO MOUNTAINEERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
