Yuck! Gag......Disgusting!!!

Well, after a much needed trip back to WV, I guess I need to get back into the swing of things here in NC. It was great to see my family and spend time with them. Not much ever changes in good ol' WV!! I knew I was there the second I hit my first pothole. And it was great to see a few friends as well too. Now, it's their turn to visit me!

Onto more important things........this just SICKENS me. We all know it's coming but I am so irritated over the fact that my vote will not count in this election!!! Why do we have the freedom to vote for goodness sake if it's only centered around a few states? Boy, if I could afford too, I'd go to the National Convention and cast my vote for Mike. At least I'll get to go to the State Convention though. Read it and weep folks.........

McCain, Romney to campaign together

By LIZ SIDOTI, Associated Press Writer

SAN FRANCISCO - John McCain was getting some help Thursday from former Republican rival Mitt Romney, a pairing that two months ago seemed improbable as the two fought bitterly for the party's presidential nomination.

In their first campaign swing as allies, Romney planned to meet McCain at the airport in Salt Lake City and appear with the likely Republican nominee at a fundraiser. The two then were traveling to Denver for a second fundraiser.McCain, who has struggled to raise campaign money, is on a weeklong western fundraising swing. Romney is popular in Utah and Colorado, states with large numbers of residents who are members of Romney's Mormon faith.

The former Massachusetts governor dropped out of the race last month after it became apparent it would be near impossible to topple McCain in the convention delegate race. A week later, he endorsed the Arizona senator and pledged to do whatever he could to help McCain win the nomination.Since then, McCain has praised Romney repeatedly as someone who is certain to continue playing a large role in the GOP. Romney, for his part, has suggested that he'd accept the No. 2 spot on the ticket, though some Republicans privately speculate that he's looking ahead to 2012 and a possible repeat run.

Neither man appeared especially fond of the other during the campaign. Romney cast McCain as outside of the GOP's conservative mainstream and a Washington insider who contributed to the problems plaguing a broken system. McCain, in turn, argued that Romney's equivocations and reversals on several issues indicated a willingness to change his positions to fit his political goals.

Unbelieveable!!!!

Well, it shouldn't really amaze me at all. The WBC group has been at it again. They are SICK EVIL PEOPLE! Yesterday, they were protesting the funeral of the local Chapel Hill UNC student body president that was murdered last week. It just sickens me to know that they get by with the things that they do. While doing some blogging tonight, I found this article and just had to share it. Thank goodness a month has passed by and this didn't hit the news media to where the Huckabee supporters new about it because they would have been all over it! I know that I would have!!! The next President needs to revoke all rights that this "organization" has. And I say organization firmly because they ARE NOT baptist Christians!!! They have hurt many families of lost soldiers, the Sago Miner's families, families that have lost teens in murders or suicides, etc. They are UNGODLY and VICIOUS!! I'm not sure what Bible they read, but I can guarantee it's not the Holy Bible. You know, the very Word of God?! Ugh! They make me sick!!! I'm not posting pictures b/c they are not worth my blog space!!!

Westboro Baptist Church Pickets Mike Huckabee In Kansas

GOP presidential candidate Mike Huckabee campaigned in Topeka, Kansas today and was greeted by Rev Fred Phelps’ homophobic flock from the Westboro Baptist Church. Huckabee has recently equated homosexuality with pedophilia and has suggested that AIDS victims should be quarantined, but apparently that just isn’t enough hatred of teh gay for these people. These people are repulsive, but I had to chuckle at the sight of homophobic religious fanatics protesting another homophobic religious fanatic.

Mike Huckabee....Decade of Duty

I thought that I'd share the video series that they are posting on mh.com this week with all of you. Watch this video. It is INCREDIBLE!!! How we miss Mike!

Updated info on delegate count

Just an update on some political thoughts. Yes, once again it's about voting for Mike. I received a copy of the ballot that they are using here in our county via email yesterday and Mike's name is on that ticket. What does that mean?? Duh! You can still vote for him!! The only other name on there was Ron Paul and John McCain of course. I've said it before and I'll say it once again, that until the convention, this election IS NOT OVER.

For the benefit of anyone that does not realize that the Pledged delegates is what counts in the convention. Going into Mississippi, McCain only had 969 Pledged delegates. This is another reason that I have been trying to encourage people in the other states to still vote for Mike. Also, The Green Papers is the most accurate count. Click the link below to go and view the delegate count for yourself.

Okay, so why did Mike pull out when he did is the question. Possibly it was the pressure of the party and media which was relentness or maybe just seeing the writing on the wall. But regardless, we can still win other states from now until the convention. Even if he has 1190 pledged delegates, we would have a brokered convention!

Remember that it is not over until God says it is over!!! Until then, we must continue to fight the good fight and not compromise.

Just checking in...

Well, in one week I'll be prepping to go home for a few days. YEAH!!! I need a break. Just give me a pepperoni roll and I'll be happy!!! I'm trying to figure out how I'm going to stay away from Hucks Army and my blog sites for those few days though. But I need a mental break from the campaign as well I guess. Actually, I've been gathering things up to start a scrapbook of Gov. Huckabee's campaign. And yes, I plan on making two and sending one to Janet. She deserves it.

The weather here has been warming up a bit, but I know that another cold front is going to come through eventually. I just hope that it doesn't snow when I head back to WV next Friday. And it may be just me heading home because Brittany has her third job interview at Lowe's tomorrow and more or less will get hired. YEAH!! It'll be great for her! I enjoyed my time working with Lowe's. It's just difficult if you have small children and your husband is deployed to work on a rotating schedule. But I learned a lot and loved it.

Well, I am off to get a few homework assignments finished up before classes dismiss on Monday for Spring Break. I will have a few things to work on over Spring Break, but not many if I can help it!

Please, stop the emails!!!

If I get one more email from John McCain and the GOP supporting him, I'm going to scream!!!! I just keep replying to them asking about the issues of stem cell research, abortion, gay marriage, etc. And I'm dedicated to only one candidate and that is the only one I desire to work for. I think that John McCain is an honorable man on the military perspective of things, but other than that, I don't see things the way that he does. He knows absolutely nothing about how to straighten out our economy either. And if rumor has it and there happens to be a McCain/Mitt ticket, I WILL NOT vote within my party! I refuse to vote for Romney PERIOD!!

In another hour, I am off to our county precinct meeting. We are going to be electing our delegates and I'm ready to accept that task to help out Mike Huckabee. Now, I may not know everything about what being a delegate entails, but I'm sure gonna learn it! Geez, who would have thought I'd ever be involved in politics! NOT THIS WVA GIRL!!! I thought my days were over when my dad retired. But as Brandon says, "I'm getting practice for when he runs for office."

Huck's Army is working hard on the future. We've wasted no time in putting together new merchandise, setting up future savings accounts for the campaign, forming a coalition of faith, family and freedom and building a strong base for those states that have yet to vote in the primary. We're not ready to give up on Huck yet and he's not ready to give up on our country.

Still standing strong on our beliefs....

Well, I know that I haven't blogged since Wednesday. It's been a great deal of work just to get up and try to move forward after Mike's speech on Tuesday evening. But we must go on!! Mike's supporters are still going strong and more determined than ever to keep Mike's voice out there. There is no one greater to be our leader in this country. The following article was one that was sent to me through a meet-up group that I am involved in. Yes, it's focused on Barrack Hussein Obama, but we need to keep our eyes and ears open on each candidates every move.

Obama: Sermon on Mount Justifies Same-Sex Unions
Terence P. Jeffrey
Editor in Chief
(CNSNews.com) - Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) told a crowd at Hocking College in Nelsonville, Ohio, Sunday that he believes the Sermon on the Mount justifies his support for legal recognition of same-sex unions. He also told the crowd that his position in favor of legalized abortion does not make him "less Christian.""I don't think it [a same-sex union] should be called marriage, but I think that it is a legal right that they should have that is recognized by the state," said Obama.
"If people find that controversial then I would just refer them to the Sermon on the Mount, which I think is, in my mind, for my faith, more central than an obscure passage in Romans."

St. Paul's Epistle to the Romans condemns homosexual acts as unnatural and sinful. Obama's mention of the Sermon on the Mount in justifying legal recognition of same-sex unions may have been a reference to the Golden Rule: "Do to others what you would have them do to you." Or it may have been a reference to another famous line: "Do not judge, or you too will be judged."

The Sermon, recorded in the Gospel of Matthew, includes the Lord's Prayer, the Beatitudes, an endorsement of scriptural moral commandments ("anyone who breaks one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do the same will be called least in the kingdom of heaven"), and condemnations of murder, divorce and adultery. It also includes a warning: "Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves."

The passage from St. Paul's Epistle to the Romans, which Obama dismissed as "obscure," discusses people who knew God but turned against him."They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator--who is forever praised," wrote St. Paul. "Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion."

On the topic of abortion, Obama said his support for keeping it legal does not trespass on his Christian faith."I think that the bottom line is that in the end, I think women, in consultation with their pastors, and their doctors, and their family, are in a better position to make these decisions than some bureaucrat in Washington. That's my view," Obama said about abortion. "Again, I respect people who may disagree, but I certainly don't think it makes me less Christian. Okay."

Obama opened his town-hall-type meeting at the college with a short speech and then provided lengthy answers to a handful of questions. One questioner, Leon Forte, a Protestant clergyman, asked Obama about evangelical Christians who were concerned about his position on issues that conservatives consider "litmus tests.""Your campaign sets a quandary for most evangelical Christians because I believe that they believe in the social agenda that you have, but they have a problem in what the conservatives have laid out as the moral litmus tests as to who is worthy and who is not," said Forte. "So, I will ask you to speak to those two questions."

Obama volunteered that he believed Forte was talking about abortion and homosexual marriage, and then he gave answers on both issues that were not as explicit as positions he has staked out on these issues in other venues. Last Thursday, for example, as reported by Cybercast News Service, Obama published on his Web site an "open letter concerning LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender) equality in America." In that letter, Obama said he favored same-sex unions that were equal to marriage--including adoption rights--and that he was open to states codifying same-sex marriages. "As your President, I will use the bully pulpit to urge states to treat same-sex couples with full equality in their family and adoption laws," Obama said in the letter. "I personally believe that civil unions represent the best way to secure that equal treatment. But I also believe that the federal government should not stand in the way of states that want to decide on their own how best to pursue equality for gay and lesbian couples--whether that means a domestic partnership, a civil union, or a civil marriage."

In Ohio on Sunday, before mentioning the Sermon on the Mount, Obama insisted he was against "gay marriage" and did not mention his support for allowing same-sex couples to adopt children and have the same "family" status as heterosexual couples."I will tell you that I don't believe in gay marriage, but I do think that people who are gay and lesbian should be treated with dignity and respect and that the state should not discriminate against them," said Obama on Sunday. "So, I believe in civil unions that allow a same-sex couple to visit each other in a hospital or transfer property to each other. I don't think it should be called marriage, but I think that it is a legal right that they should have that is recognized by the state. If people find that controversial then I would just refer them to the Sermon on the Mount, which I think is, in my mind, for my faith, more central than an obscure passage in Romans. That's my view."

Obama also has been more aggressive in framing his pro-abortion position previously than he was on Sunday. When he was in the Illinois Senate, for example, he repeatedly opposed a bill that would have defined as a "person" a baby who had survived an induced-labor abortion and was born alive. In a 2001 Illinois Senate floor speech about that bill, he argued that to call a baby who survived an abortion a "person" would give it equal protection rights under the 14th Amendment and would give credibility to the argument that the same child inside its mother's womb was also a "person" and thus could not be aborted. When the Illinois Senate bill was amended to make it identical to a federal law that included language to protect Roe v. Wade--and that the U.S. Senate voted unanimously to pass--Obama still opposed the bill, voting it down in the Illinois Senate committee he chaired.

Yet, in Ohio on Sunday, Obama depicted abortion as a tragedy to be avoided, while being kept legal. "On the issue of abortion, that is always a tragic and painful issue," he said. "I think it is always tragic, and we should prevent it as much as possible .... But I think that the bottom line is that in the end, I think women, in consultation with their pastors, and their doctors, and their family, are in a better position to make these decisions than some bureaucrat in Washington. That's my view. Again, I respect people who may disagree, but I certainly don't think it makes me less Christian.

Okay."Before discussing his views on same-sex unions and abortion, Obama told the crowd he was a "devout Christian." "In terms of my faith, there has been so much confusion that has been deliberately perpetrated through emails and so forth, so here are the simple facts," he said. "I am a Christian. I am a devout Christian. I have been a member of the same church for 20 years, pray to Jesus every night, and try to go to church as much as I can when they are not working me. Used to go quite often."These days, we haven't been at the home church--I haven't been home on Sunday--for several months now. So, my faith is important to me. It is not something that I try to push on other people. But it is something that helps to guide my life and my values."

Dear Gov. Huckabee,

Gov. Huckabee,

Thank you! Thank you for opening doors for those of us who have been waiting for someone to speak on our behalf. Thank you for the countless hours you spent traveling, speaking with the media, and reading our comments posted on the website.

You are a man of integrity, character, and courage. I have never believed in a candidate the way that I believe in you. I have never even had any interest in politics until I heard you during your first republican debate many months ago. I remember asking myself, "who is that man?" and running to the computer to gather information about you on the internet. It was then that I found MikeHuckabee.com and began a journey with you that I will always cherish and continue. I will continue to support you now and in the upcoming years as we look ahead to 2012. I will not stop.

I have spent countless hours and sacrificed family events, church activities, even studying for mid-terms to make phone calls to states all across this country. States that I have never even visited. If I had the opportunity to do it again this afternoon, I wouldn't hesitate. Being a part of this campaign is something that I will never regret, but only look back on with joy and eagerness for the future that God holds in store for you.

I never had the opportunity to vote for you here in North Carolina, but I will make that a reality on May 6th because you are the ONLY candidate that I believe in, the only one who wants to protect the human life of those who can't protect or speak for themselves, and the only one who has a heart like David. You, Gov. Huckabee, are my dream President and I look forward to the day when that dream becomes a reality.

America has missed out on such a blessing this time around. And they have the media to thank for the majority of that. They have appalled me these past few weeks and as I sit here today, my television is turned off, my radio isn't playing the local Talk Radio station, there is nothing but complete silence. I can't listen to them say one more negative or immature remark toward you or your candidacy. You are the only one that can bring us positive changes in this country. Each day she is slipping further and further away from us, and we can only pray that God will protect her and intervene.

A few years ago, my now eleven-year-old son, Brandon, made the comment that he wanted to be President when he got older. I remember laughing it off because I thought he was just saying what most little boys his age say at that age. He repeated it several times during the years and then you came along. Brandon watched me as I got involved in your campaign.....slowly at first, but then full force. I remember him coming to me after I finished reading your book Character Makes A Difference and asking if he could read it. Brandon still wants to be President and you have given him further hope in that dream and that it can come true for him as well as anyone else. And you have made me see it as well. He likes to tease me and say that I am gearing up for his campaign 30 years from now with all the phone calls I've made. And it has helped me to realize that he can be anything that he desires. He has watched your debates and learned issues about our country that I hadn't even learned until a few short years ago myself. Thank you for being a role model for our children. Brandon respects you and admires you and so do I.

You had called me less than a month ago one evening to thank me for all the phone calls I had made on behalf of the campaign. How unexpected it was for me. That touched me in a very special way. And my children as well. You took those few minutes out of your very busy schedule to call and thank a volunteer in North Carolina. I am humbled and it is a memory and gift that will forever be imbedded in my heart and mind.

Thank you for running an honest, positive campaign. My father ran for Sheriff back in the 1990's in a little town called Fairmont, West Virginia. He too ran a very positive campaign and I respected that. For each attack that came his way, he just turned the other cheek and focused on what he believed in and stood for. Now I can say that there are two men that have touched my life by showing me how you really can just walk away and not cast a stone at the one who first cast it at you.

You are a candidate that I am proud of. Thank you for keeping your promises and fighting the good fight. But most of all, thank you for standing firm on our solid Rock, our Lord and Savior. I may never meet you here in this world, but I will one day on the streets of gold, there is no doubt.

I have prayed for you and your family continuously throughout this campaign. I have also prayed for all my fellow Rangers on the board. I will continue to ask God to bless your family and to give you the wisdom and guidance that you need in the upcoming days, weeks, months and years.

It has been an honor to be a part of this amazing journey and I look forward to the days ahead. I'm in this until the day I can call you President Mike Huckabee.

In Christ,

Rhonda Kelly

Sad news....

Ms. Trish went out to feed her wonderful adopted animals and when she got to Buck (her old Buckskin gelding in with Brandy, another horse), he was sweating and shaking. He was in his stall. Then, she saw his back leg was dangling from the hip. He ate some but wouldn't (couldn't) walk.

They called the vet and he came out immediately. Buck had broken something in his hip and there was nothing we could do except end the horrible pain.

He went peacefully. Ms. Trish said she cried like a baby because she loved this old guy so much..... He was always her sweet, steady, loveable Buck. But, seeing him in such pain made letting him go a very easy decision.

Fly high, sweet Buck, fly high.

Send all of our love to Luke, Roxy, Reilly & Obi Wan and all the others running in the fields waiting for us along the rainbow bridge.

Mike on Hannity & Colmes last night

If you missed H&C last night, you missed a good one. Governor Huckabee was the first guest and I found myself yelling at Sean on the TV and cheering Mike on. Here is the link to go check it out. This is the only one I can find for now.

I actually found myself being kind to Alan Combes because he was being very down to earth with Gov. Huckabee and actually seems to like him and support him in some of his positions. Sean wants Mike to just get out of the race. Sean has been so mouthy during this election that I've lost all respect for him. I use to really enjoy him....a good deal, but I won't be watching him after the election coverage is over.

Today we are focusing on Texas. They haven't put any OH call numbers up yet and I wish they would. I will be going from studying for mid-terms to calling for Mike. We are waiting on that big miracle to happen and for some reason, I believe it's just around the corner!!
